Clean Energy Wins International Environment Technologies Fair
Luanda  Clean Energy was Saturday in Luanda announced winner of the 2nd edition of the International Environmental Technologies Fair being held until Sunday in the Angolan capital, Angop learned.
The announcement took place at an award and certificate giving gala witnessed by the Angolan minister of Environment, Fátima Jardim, her deputy, Syanga Abilio, the secretary of State for Geology, Mining and Industry, Makenda Ambroise, and representatives of provincial governments.
This year's edition also nominated the best environmental technologies, ecological projects, environmental managements and environment quality, with the prizes going to the firm Green Power, Huambo Government, Angola Development Bank (BDA) and Benguela province Government, respectively.
In its seventh category, the event honoured the Angolan head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, for his effort toward improving the quality of environment in the country.
On the occasion, minister Maria de Fátima Jardim highlighted the contribution made by the head of State for the creation of laws and regulations, expansion of the new environmental preservation and other initiatives that contribute to improve Angolans' living.
With 106 participants, the International Environmental Technologies Fair going with the theme "Sustainable Energies and Water for All" is closing Sunday.
