UAE may invest in Angolan oil and gas sector
The UAE has expressed an interest in co-operating with Angola in the African country's oil and gas sectors, according to Angolan oil minister Botelho de Vasconcelos.
According to a report by Angolan new agency Angop, the official met the foreign affairs minister of the United Arab Emirates, Abdallah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with Al Nahyan revealing the plans for more co-operation between the countries in both sectors.
The Angolan minister said that during the meeting they discussed the future co-operation in the domains of oil and gas.
Botelho de Vasconcelos also briefed the UAE foreign affairs minister on the Angolan oil sector and identified businesses opportunities between the two countries.
The Angolan minister also commented on the possibility of the UAE investing in the oil refinery of Benguela.
